The Proms

The Ceiling of Royal Albert Hall

The Proms is short for promenade concert and more known as The BBC Proms.
It is an eight weeks summer event, held annually at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The concerts are mainly orchestral classical music but there are some the events for children or folk music concert as well.
Over the last few years, I have attended some concerts with friends and enjoy this summer event. The price is very reasonable and excellent performers came from all over the world. Therefore some concert tickets sold out very quickly. This year, I have got two concerts tickets and one of the concert tickets sold out at the evening of the sales opening day.
My first day of the proms concert was 25th of August and unfortunately the weather was awful and miserable. However, it was wonderful performance and we really enjoyed the concert.
Especially, the Symphony No.8 in B minor ’Unfinished’ by Shubert, it reminds me when I went to the free summer concert at the Central Park in New York a long time ago.
At that time I listened the Symphony No.8 with beautiful nightfall landscape.
It was a good old memory.
