“The
Song of the Forest” cover design Designer Bookbinders has organised a new exhibition in central London this summer. It will be held at the Benjamin Spademan Gallery in St. James. Approximately new 35 bindings created by DB Fellows and Licentiates will be on view.
I will exhibit “ The Song of the Forest “ by Colin Mackay with Alyson MacNeill’s 23 wood-engravings. The impression of my book design may not particularly different with other my bindings. However, I have changed the way of using the leather in that I have created textured onlays instead of smooth onlay leather work.
The exhibition will be open from 5th to 13th of July 2024.

デザイナー・ブックバインダーズは今年の夏、ロンドンの中心部での新しい展覧会を準備しています。セント・ジェームスにあるベンジャミン・スペーダマン画廊で、DBの正会員、準正会員によって制作されたおよそ35点の作品が展示されます。
私はコリン・マッケイ著でアリソン・マクネイルの23点の木版画が印刷された「森の歌」という詩集本を製本した作品を出展します。この本のデザインは他の私の製本作品とそれほど違うようには感じられないかと思いますが、今回、いつもの表面がスムーズになるオンレイではなく、オンレイの革の質感を出した方法を取りました。展覧会は2024年7月5日から13日まで開催されます。
