Burgh House gate
At the beginning of this month, I
went to a group exhibition at the
gallery of Burgh House in Hampstead.
Here is an excerpt from its pamphlet;
“Burgh House is beautiful Grade-1 listed Queen Anne mansion house, nearest in the heart of Hampstead Village...........Built in 1704, Burgh House was saved by the community for the community in 1979.”
It is well maintained building and it has beautiful wood-panelled rooms for events, the gallery and the café are situated on the lower floor and the front garden.
The group exhibition was organised by my friend who is a contemporary artist and the exhibition was for her students and friends. My friend often uses Burgh House and I always have a pleasant time there. This time, I used the over ground rail way and walked from Hampstead Heath station. My walk, was again a pleasant one and took me passed the front of Keats’s House.

今月の始めにハムステッドにあるバラ・ハウスでおこなわれていたグループ展に行ってきました。
ここのパンフレットには次のように書かれていました。
「バラ・ハウスは第一級の美しい建物に列挙されているアン女王の邸宅で、ハムステッドの中心にあります。1704年に建てられました。 バラ・ハウスは1979年から地域自治体によって地域の人々のために役立てられています。」よく管理された建物で、美しい木製の壁で覆われた催しもの用の部屋と画廊、そして地階と前庭にカフェがありました。
私の友人は現代アート作家で、このグループ展は彼女によって、彼女の生徒さんとご友人のために行われた展覧会でした。友人はバラ・ハウスをよく利用していて、私はそこでいつも楽しい時を過ごします。今回はオーバーグラウンドを利用してハムステッド・ヒース駅から歩きました。キーツの家の前を通り、歩くのも楽しかったです。
