At the beginning of this month, I went to Cannizaro Park in Wimbledon with a friend. I head about Canizaro Park a long time ago but somehow I did not have a chance to visit there. Trees, Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Camelli were planted in middle of the last century and my friend said that the park is so beautiful during the Azaleas season.
Unfortunately, we missed the best week of the flower season but we still could see some Rhododendrons and Wisteria flowers. After the long walk in the park, we would have liked to have gone to the café in the former Canizaro House, which is now the Hotel du Vin. However, during this period (Easing lock down stage 3 ), the only restaurant that was open was for pre-booked lunch customers, however there is a temporary café for take away drinks.
Instead, we went to a near by pub and bought a cool drink and went back to the park. It was beautiful warm day, we sat down on the bench and had a very relaxed time. It was very nice physically to see friend as opposed to online.

今月の始めに友人とウィンブルドンにあるカニザロ・パークに行ってきました。カニザロ・パークのことはだいぶ前から聞いていたのですが、なぜかそこへ行く機会がありませんでした。前世紀の中頃に木、シャクナゲ、ツツジや椿などが植えられ、 友人曰くツツジの季節の公園はとても綺麗だとのことです。残念ながら我々はツツジの開花時期の一番良い週を逃してしまいましたが、それでも幾つかのシャクナゲと藤の花を見ることができました。かなり公園を歩き回ったので、かつてのカニザロ・ハウスで現在はホテル・ドゥ・ヴァンのカフェでお茶をしたかったのですが、現時点（ロックダウン緩和第３段階）でオープンしているのはレストランのみで、それもランチの事前予約をした人のみに限られていました。とはいうものの、持ち帰りの飲み物を売る臨時のカフェはありましたが。我々はそこは使わず近くのパブで冷たい飲み物を買い、また公園に戻りました。とてもお天気が良く、暖かい日でベンチに座りとてもゆっくりとした時を過ごしました。オンラインではなく実際に友人と会うのは良いものでした。
