本の構造の話や素材の説明をまじえ、基本的な本の作り方の指導をいたします。
このコースでは、手帳、二種類のノートとアルバムを作ります。
Basic Bookbinding Course Ⅰ (6 lessons )
The
course concentrates
on learning the basic skills required to make 3 styles of books and one Album. Emphasis will be given on bookbinding
terminology, correct procedures and understanding of materials.
製本／基礎科 Ⅱ（６回）
基礎科 Ⅰ を終了された方に受講していただけます。
スタジオの設備を使い、中身が印刷された本を用いて、基礎科 Ⅰとは異なるスタイルの本を作ります。
素材として革も使います。
Basic
Bookbinding Course Ⅱ
(6 lessons )
Experience
required – Basic Bookbinding CourseⅠ or similar.
Following
on from bookbinding for beginners, this series of lessons make 2 styles of
binding with printed text blocks.
Students will be introduced to traditional techniques
of bookbinding and introduction to leather.
製本／応用科（６回）
作りたいもののご希望を伺い、ご相談しながら制作を進めます。
Experience
required – Basic Bookbinding CourseⅡ or similar.
The
intermediate course is less structured allowing the student to pursue
individual bookbinding and box making projects with guidance from the tutor.
応用科を４期以上受けられ、数種類の製本様式の制作を経験された方に、美術工芸製本の制作指導をいたします。
国内外の製本コンペティション、展覧会への参加も奨励します。2001年より参加している英国内、ヨーロッパの製本コンクールでは、多くのスタジオ受講生が受賞をはたしています。
Advance
Course (one term is 6 lessons)
Experienced
required – Student to have completed at least 4 terms of the Intermediate course or similar.
Students
are encouraged to pursue a major bookbinding project under guidance from the
tutor. Students
are encouraged to submit work to various bookbinding competitions.
