I have mentioned before that I have set specific consulting times for the members of the Chelsea class using FaceTime in the previous blog (please see the April blog of this year). Although, we are taking a break for the present.
I was able to show examples, samples and diagrams during the FaceTime sessions, however I always struggled to give demonstrations. Because, usually one hand is engaged for holding the iPad and when I try to place the iPad it is always difficult to find the correct angle. Therefore, I made a stand for holding for the iPad mini or iPod Touch using a camera tripod.
I assume that there are proper stands or holders if you search online. However, it is not a complex apparatus and it did not take much time to make it.
All parts are in the photographs as above. The frame with tape, two long rectangle boards for support that cut outs for the tripod legs, 4 clips and the blue tack. These parts has assembled on the tripod, it becomes like the photographs as below. When I do the demonstration, I simply put the iPod touch on top of the frame and do the demonstration under the tripod. Also, I made the support stand for a mirror. When I put the mirror in the correct place and with the correct angle, I am able to see the iPod screen, so I can see the person’s face on the other end of the line and my hands movement.
Perhaps, this new studio apparatus will be useful in "New Normal" life.

チェルシーのクラスの方々に FaceTime を使って特定な相談時間を設定したことは以前のプログでお話ししたかと思います（今年４月のブログをご覧ください）。ただし、それは今夏休みに入っています。
FaceTimeのセッションでは、実例、サンプル、図形を見ていただくことは出来たのですが、デモンストレーションをする時はいつもじたばたとしていました。通常片手はiPadを持つことでふさがっており、iPadを立てようとするといつも正しい角度を見つけるのが難しいのです。ということで、iPad mini もしくはiPod touchを支えるための台をカメラの三脚を使って作ることにしました。
もし、オンラインで検索すればきちんとした台や支えるものがあるとは思いますが、それほど複雑な器具でもありませんし、作るのにさほど時間もかかりませんでした。
全ての部分は上記の写真をご覧ください。テープ付きのフレーム、三脚の足に当たる部分をくりぬいた長方形のボード、４つのクリップとブルータックです。これらの部品を組み合わせ、三脚に乗せると下の写真のようになります。デモンストレーションをする時は、iPod touchをフレームの上に乗せて三脚の下で作業をします。さらに、鏡のための支えの台も作りました。この鏡を正しい位置に正しい角度で置くと私はiPod touchの画面を見ることができます。ということで、私は相手の顔と私の手の動きを見ることができるのです。
多分、このスタジオの新しい器具は「ニューノーマル」の生活で役に立つのではないかと思います。
